With budget cuts and increasing demands on their service, the client found that employees and customers alike were disengaging with their core objectives. SenseEIA was tasked to find a way to bring the organisation and community together to support each other in a challenging environment.
Through the identification of key opinion leaders within the community and government department, SenseEIA used storytelling techniques to ask Who am i? and Why am I here? It allowed participants to identify a shared purpose, a common theme that brought them together and motivated their participation in caring for the community.
The shared purpose became a powerful weapon against apathy within the regional government department and the community. It went beyond a mission statement because it allowed a diverse group of people to interpret their involvement in a way that made sense to them. Through the key opinion leaders, engagement was nurtured through all activities.
